Elmo Factory Worker (Added On: 2011-01-17 Rating : N/R / 5.00 Rate This Joke) A woman desperately looking for work goes to the Tickle Me Elmo Factory. The Personnel Manager goes over her resume and explains to her that he regrets that he has no jobs worthy of her skills. The woman answers that she really needs work and will take almost anything. The Personnel Manager hems and haws and finally says he does have a low skill job on the "Tickle Me Elmo" assembly line. The woman happily accepts. He takes her down to the line and explains her duties and that she should be in at 8:00 AM the next day. The next day at 8:45 there's a knock at the Personnel Manager's door. The "Tickle Me Elmo" Assembly Line manager comes in and starts ranting about the woman just hired. After listening to his screaming for 15 minutes about how badly backed up the assembly line is, the Personnel Manager suggested he show him the problem. Together they head down to the line and sure enough Elmos are backed up from here to Kingdom Come. Right at the end of the line is the woman he had hired. She has a roll of the material used for the Elmos and has a big bag of marbles. They both watch as she cuts a little piece of fabric and takes 2 marbles and starts sewing them between Elmo's legs. The Personnel Manager starts laughing hysterically and finally after several minutes of rolling laughter he pulls himself together and walks over to the new employee and says: "I'm sorry I guess you misunderstood me yesterday. What I wanted you to do was give Elmo two test tickles." Two Engineers (Added On: 2011-01-13 Rating : N/R / 5.00 Rate This Joke) Two engineering students were walking across campus when one said, "Where did you get such a great bike?" The second engineer nodded approvingly, "Good choice; the clothes probably wouldn't have fit." Tips For Managers (Added On: 2010-11-28 Rating : N/R / 5.00 Rate This Joke) 1. Never give me work in the morning. Always wait until 4:00 and then bring it to me. The challenge of a deadline is refreshing. 2. If it's really a 'rush job,' run in and interrupt me every ten minutes to inquire how it's going. That helps. 3. Always leave without telling anyone where you're going. It gives me a chance to be creative when someone asks where you are. 4. If my arms are full of papers, boxes, books, or supplies, don't open the door for me. I need to learn how to function as a paraplegic and opening doors is good training. 5. If you give me more than one job to do, don't tell me which is the priority. Let me guess. 6. Do your best to keep me late. I like the office and really have nowhere to go or anything to do. 7. If a job I do pleases you, keep it a secret. Leaks like that could cost mea promotion. 8. If you don't like my work, tell everyone. I like my name to be popular in conversation. 9. If you have special instructions for a job, don't write them down. In fact, save them until the job is almost done. 10. Never introduce me to the people you're with. When you refer to them later, my shrewd deductions will identify them. 11. Be nice to me only when the job I'm doing for you could really change your life. 12. Tell me all your little problems. No one else has any and it's nice to know someone is less fortunate. Corporate America Recreation Preferences (Added On: 2010-11-16 Rating : N/R / 5.00 Rate This Joke) The National Science Foundation announced the following study results on corporate America recreation preferences: 1. Sport of choice for maintenance level employees: bowling. 2. Sport of choice for front line workers: football. 3. Sport of choice for supervisors: baseball. 4. Sport of choice for middle management: tennis. 5. Sport of choice for corporate officers: golf. CONCLUSION: A Lesson From Management (Added On: 2010-09-03 Rating : N/R / 5.00 Rate This Joke) A store manager overheard a clerk saying to a customer, "No, ma'am, we haven't had any for some weeks now, and it doesn't look as if we'll be getting any soon." Alarmed, the manager rushed over to the customer who was walking out the door and said, "That isn't true, ma'am. Of course, we'll have some soon. In fact, we placed an order for it a couple of weeks ago." Then the manager drew the clerk aside and growled, "Never, never, never, never say we don't have something. If we don't have it, say we ordered it and it's on its way. Now, what was it she wanted?" "Rain."
